Quite interesting. Citrus, almost minty aroma. This one is hard for me to define, which had a lot to do withmy liking it. It was just very complex, a bit sour, some fruityness, some malts, and yeast. I’d like to see what else this brewery has to offer.

I had two samples of this at Belgium Comes to Cooperstown 2005. The skunkiness factor was quite low and I thank the bottle-keeper for this as my experience with green bottles has been interesting. The beer had a touch of grassiness with some citrus and maltiness in there.

Bottle. Nose is lovely tart fruit. Cranberry, peach, and a distinct note of Mountain Dew (I have found one other mention of this character in the reviews for this beer, after noting it myself and spending ten minutes trying to place it). Beautiful lacing from a steady head on a clear golden body. Drinks with a rustic tartness and grainy character. Alcohol is there but in good balance. Great body with a dry finish and lingering tartness.

Pours a nice amber color with a big, lingering white head. The aroma is herbal and earthy, with a touch of grass and hops. Medium body with lots of carbonation, the flavor is wonderfully complex, with hints of ingredients that I cannot identify. Sweet flavors, cheese, herbs, hops, and grass all exist within this wondorous beer. What a treat!

750 ml bottle at Birreria Paradiso. Cloudy golden color. Aroma of licorice and sweat. Flavor of banana and citrus. No champagne in sight. Mild bitter finish. Second time trying this one, better this time around.

Hazy brown/amber with light orange hues. Particles floating througout. Beautiful head and sticky lace. Nose is an onslaught of spices. Black pepper,cumin,coriander and others. Grassy notes,lemon and barnyard exsist in the mix as well. Thin to medium bodied, carbonation pricks just a bit. Grassy,very spicy, i think ginger has entred the premises as well. Lemony saaz and a sneaky sugary sweetness tangle with all the spices. Palt malt backbone becomes more apparent as beer warms. Yeast adds a nice but moderate smoothness and mellowness(especially when you pour the bottom) throughout. Hoppy bitterness at the end, this badboy laces your tounge with spices and takes it hostage. Your tasting it a long time after you swallowed. Damn tasty brew, may be a bit too spicy for some but these guys brew some crazy shit.

This is a good Saison light and not overpowering. Malty, yeasty, and sweet flavors. Finishes rich, creamy, and smooth.
