750ml bottle. The aroma was the best thing about this saison because it was so interesting. Celery, grass, lemon, lime, butter and honey with a light hint of bandage. The average to large white head was frothy. The body a dark yellow. The flavor was moderately sweet and lightly bitter and moderately acidic. Dry finish with a strong and unpleasant aftertaste of Band-Aid. Medium body and lively carbonation.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy golden amber color with a huge, rocky white head, decent lacing. Aroma is tart fruit, yeast, grass. Flavor is floral, oranges, honey, yeast, spices. Palate is medium-light, highly carbonated, tart, super dry finish! Nice!

Pours a darker amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is of yeast, lemon, earth tones, spices, and some funkiness. Flavor starts of with the spices and lemon that give way to the earthy, yeast finish. Has some acidity on the finish as well as a slight alcohol warming.

SoLan!!! Pours a murky light amber color. Aroma is funky and earthy, floral and has a black pepper spice note. Flavor is not as pronounced as the aroma indicated, but is solid none the less. I love Fantome.

750ml bottle. Pours a hazy glowing yellow with an orange tint. Fizzy off white head with some lacing. Nice fruity and lightly spiced nose. Lots of clove, lemon and orange peel in both the nose and the flavor. Finish was very dry and crisp.

750ml Bottle: pours a cloudy yellow gold with some orange highlights, dense white head, herb and flower aromas, sour aroma with faint sweet scents, faint spice and wood fragrances, a earthy yeast fragrance, light on the palate, a spicy pepper taste on the tongue which trails off but lingers into the finish, grass and hay taste, some pilsner flavor, cider sour in the mouth but not near as sour as the Fantome Saison which had a over powering sour, some citrus fruit flavor in the background as it warms, pouring the sediment cuts the sour some, I enjoyed this more then the Fantome Saison.

750 from my Secret Santa - thanks!!! This one’s a very interesting combination of flavors. What else would I expect from Fantome? A moderate pour, compared to some of the explosiveness of some Fantome brews, but one that’s still rich and very aromatic. Fine looking orange hue with moderate lacing and decent retention. What immediately strikes you is - despite the name - an almost autumnal funk, with lots of sour apples and a bit of spice (that I can’t help but associate with clove and cinnamon, though it’s honestly more peppery I suppose). It’s all balanced by that dry and grassy intensity that I love in a saison - here it’s just a tad rough, and maybe this bottle’s beyond its peak. Still quite fine.

bottle, ealing festival. Maple coloured with no head. Orange/apricot aroma. Yeasty with fruity hints. Some barnyard funk. Taste of unripened oranges with slight spice. Overall fruity and light. A nice drink.
