| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 1, 2006 750ml bottle. Hazy golden hue. The carbonation shot the cork out of the bottle. White head. Grassy and barnyard nose. Also fruity, yeasty, citrus aromatic notes. Sweet bready yeast flavor. Citrus and orange. Full, sticky and zesty. Dry with a long, slightly bitter finish. Good hop note. Chalky and cloying, but in the best possible way. Still good lacing head and the hops increase as the glass diminishes. Storm (2685), Amager, Denmark

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 13, 2006 Pours bright gold into a tulip. Earth and dough notes. Sour/sweet orange peel in the barnyard. Lively (not bubbly) and slick. Dry, bitter yeast finish that was medium in length. rmalloy (195), los angeles, California, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Apr 12, 2006 I wonder if I got a bad bottle. A mild aroma and taste of herbs, a slight lemony sourness. Very little maltiness--like a pilsner even. Nothing was going on in this beer ,and I was bored with such a huge bottle (that cost $10). BeerandBlues2 (3237), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 12, 2006 750 mL bottle from Ernest. This gem displays a slightly murky straw yellow with a small fizzy white head and some spotty lacing. Aroma is yeast (farm, earth, dough) and sour lemon, golden malt (straw, hay, meal) and trace fruits (pear, green apple, grape). Initially tart and medium acidity, slight sweetness peeks through, yeast and malt dominate the finish. Medium to light bodied, easy drinking with a smooth mouthfeel. bb (2941), Martinez, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 11, 2006 Bottle. Amber beer with a whitish head. Yeasty, orange/lemon aroma with spice and honey. Orange honey spice flavor with good malt backing. Light and sublle but very well balanced. Great beer. Lighter carbonation than expected. lamas (736), Adams Morgan, Washington DC, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Apr 7, 2006 750mL bottle. A very hazy, dull honey/gold pour with a thick, fizzy off-white head on top. A very appetizing aroma of sour lemons, oranges, strawberries, wheat, yogurt, lots of that typical barnyard funk and something similar to Swedish Fish or Sour Patch Kids candy. Carbonation is pretty high, yet doesn’t really detract from this flavor-packed brew. Lots of sweet/sour fruits and tanginess upfront. Lemons and strawberries abound. Very wheaty and tart. Just the teensiest hint of alcohol. Finishes with a slightly bitter tanginess that dries the mouth out a little. Fantome can just do no wrong in my book.
