It has deep color residing some where between copper and bronze that rests under a nice thick head. The robust taste of hops fills the mouth and sticks and around a while to be enjoyed. Fruity hop aroma, citrus, grapefruit, some mango, apple, and sweet light crystal malts. A bit of oragne peel and light pine as well. Flavour is quite piny/resiny with loads of sweet fruity hop flavour. Nice malty flavour balanced the hops quite well. Would do well with some more bittering hops. More tropical fruits come forward as the beer warms. Tasty brew. 11026 (1799), Alabama, USA

Decent off-white head and some lacing. Big citrusy nose. Medium bodied. Decent balance is attained with a big big grapefuit flavor and semi-sweet malt. Nicely done. BeerLimey (1873), California, USA

Strong grapefruit hop aroma with mellow seet fruitiness. Dryish well hopped palate, especially bitter, fairly agressive grapefruit. Balances very well with some sweet tropical fruitiness and mild biscuity undertone. An American IPA that lends well from the UK version. 5000 (2409), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 22, 2005 Bottle: Dark straw, hazy, large off-white foamy head, superb lacing, little to no carbonation.   Standard hop nose, touch of charred wood.   Enjoyable start, hoppy, but it is followed by a smidgen of bandaid.   Towards the end a bit of citrus peel emerges and lingers well past the finish.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Finishes lighter than anticipated, clean, but not very crisp.   This left me wanting a Snoqualmie Wildcat IPA.

The aroma is sweet and OK hoppy - without being extreme. The flavor is sweet and only somewhat hoppy, with a dry hoppy end and a thin body. An OK beer - but I’d expected more. jah noth (1017), Rochester, New York, USA

Mild hop aroma with malty sweetness. Nice head on top amber body. Flavor is dominated by caramel malt and overwhelms the hoppiness. Not stellar. CAmes (32), Snohomish, Washington, USA
