Commercial Description:
The Ranger is an intensely hopped, fruity, bold India Pale Ale named after the famous Irish regiment. The Connaught Rangers, nicknamed "The Devil’s Own," served many years in India and, by divine order of the British Army, drank IPA, a beer whose high hop content and dry finish could withstand the long sea voyage from England to India.

There is absolutly nothing not to like about this IPA. Pours almost amber with a lasting off white head. Aroma more floral than citrus but it’s in there also. A real PNW classic. Stinging bitterness is almost consumed by a maltiness that leaves just the sting way on the back of the tongue. Exceptional. Thanks frielock (Jacob) for throwing this baby in as a bonus. A real surprise for a beer I hadn’t heard of.

Impressive; I can't think of anything detractive to say about this at all. Pours a nice amber with a fantastic head that lasts forever and leaves a nice lace. Scent is pure floral hops. Taste is solid for the style. Definate PNW hops with the citrus presence, but there is just enough sweetness to keep this balanced. Mouthfeel is full yet crisp. Overall this is about as "to style" as an IPA gets. Very nicely done.

22oz Bomber No Freshness date A golden orange colored brew with a magnificent frothy head and great retention. This is a great IPA and a very fresh tasting one also. Wonderful hoppy aroma with lots of fruity citrus notes as well as some doughy notes also. Nice medium bodied that is smooth and with substance. Flavor is fruity and hoppy with a nice bitterness in the finish. Nice fruity tones in the flavor also with a good malt backbone. This was a pleasant surprise and a great west coast IPA. Thanks Andre'.

Clearish, bronzish appearance, with a thick, creamy, milky head. Aroma is nicely hoppy, English-style, it feels, lacks the mark of those Western U.S. hops....gets better with further sniffs...nicely citric, grapefruit, lemon, pineapple, pine, ...pinecones, even... Taste: yum, this is the stuff! Wow! Full-blown hoppiness, dry finish, medium-bodied, incessant flavor. Fairly floods the mouth with hop bitterness! Damn, but this is good stuff! I must bend down, as must we all, to genuflect to the amazing wealth of craft-brewing going on in every corner of America. I’d never heard of this brewery until this bottle fell into my possession, and they have it nailed, but good! Very drinkable, very flavorful, ....I would be supremely ecstatic to have this readily available...huzzah to all you Washingtonians who can sip this top-notch ale with ease!

1st bottling:Golden and vivid, when you pour it it all most seems to have a "pink" streak to it(?), with a tell tale aroma of a fruit market in a pine forest. Flavor is complex and rich, with the requisite sappy/ resinous IPA flavor, but in a most appealing way, I'm done with the bottle now and I'm not happy that I'm out, and that should say something!

A nice IPA, good hop flavor and nice appearance. Pours a nice golden/amber color, good lacing and appropriate carbonation. Good balance for an IPA, but hops dominate as one would expect.

The beer pours to a slightly hazy deep amber color with the head Herculean in size, creamy in consistency and the color a beauteous light tan with the lace a satin sheet to obscure the glass. Aroma of the hops flowers, earthy, sweet malt and a marvelous freshness I associate with IPA’s, start is delectable in its sweetness, the malt delightful with the top moderate in its feel to the palate. Finish has a brash acidity, the hops omnipotent and the aftertaste dry and slightly hop bitter, a fine representative to the sub-style India Pale Ale, this brewery is rising rapidly on my most favorite list, must find some more.

Cloudy dark amber colour. Fruity (blackberry, apricot) aroma with hints of wood and toast. Woody-fruity palate. Moderately bitter as the ample toasty and brown sugary malts balanced the measured hopping. Slightly buttery towards the finish. Typical PNW quaffing IPA.
