Commercial Description:
Hedgerow Red presents a deep garnet color in the glass. An intriguing fruity, nutty aroma is backed by dry hopping with the powerfully delicate Crystal hop variety. The palate is malty, with a slight sweetness balanced by a restrained but noticeable bitterness.

Nice looking beer pours quite red with a big off white head that is fully retained. Aroma is fairly hoppy with an aroma that reminds me of DFH brews. Flavor is not quite there. Kinda vauge malt and vauge hops. I always wonder why brewers bother with ambers and browns, and then I remember all of the millions of beer drinkers pouring down swill like there is no tomorrow. OK beer. Will not seek more.

The beer pours a limpid mahogany color with the head behemothic in size, spumescent in texture and the color a beauteous light tan with the lace forming a tight skirt around the glass. Nose has a light hint of the hops but malt sweetness dominates, a touch earthy also, quite crisp and clean with the start delightfully sweet, nice malt presence and the top fair to middling in its feel upon the palate. Finish is prickly in its acidity, the hops delectable in their spicy bite, quite dry aftertaste that lingers sweetly on the tongue, quite quaffable tis true, and a fine example of a Red Ale.

A beautiful copper color with a pungent strawberry-caramel nose, but the body is sweet and full of chocolate and caramel leading to a chocolately sweet finish.

Hmm, different. This reminds me of Fraoch (sp) without the heather taste; very earthy, almost peaty tasting. Pours a deep brownish-amber color with a respectable head and no lacing. Smells malty with a very earthy tone to it. Taste is, well, very earthy/herbal with some faint fruit esters. Complex and hard to describe. It grows on you. Mouthfeel has a nice mineral thing going on. It's thick and rich. Overall this is pretty nice and quite different. First sip wasn't very pleasent but I'm really starting to like it. This is definately worth seeking out.

Dark amber/brown color, small head that managed to stay around for a short time before fadin to nothingness. The aroma was roasty ,malty and maybe a faint spice with a hint of caramel. The taste was much the same with more pronounced malt and caramel slightly sweet and fruity hops. Not exactly a favorite but was well worth trying and the price was right.Well worth finding if you want a nicely flavored light feeling brew.

Gorgeous mahogany with a diaphonous, evanescent head. Little detectable aroma with light, nutty malt flavors--much to light for a beer so richly colored. Candied malt flavors take awhile to arrive.
