| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 7, 2008 500ml bottle (bb.30/9-08) bought in Maldon in May 08 and shared with Finn at an autumn party in Tromsø. Crystal clear, dark brown body. Low tan head. Malty profile with a light smell of dark malts followed by moderate hints of chocolate malts in the flavour. Soft carbonated and rather light on the swallow. Low-level bitterness to a beer that is described as a Traditional Best Bitter. Has got some resemblance to a German Schwartzbier in look and taste (27.09.2008).
