Dec 31, 2006 Pigs Ear. A bland, slightly wishy-washy, soapy, dull stout of no genuine character. Drinkable, and better than a pale lager. But not much.

Dec 13, 2006 Cask gravity, Pig’s Ear. Very deep brown/ruby with no head. Good aroma of choc, bit of plastic, smoke on the flavour. Like smoked mackeral. Dark fruits. Roasted malt on end. OK.

Dec 12, 2006 Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - Pigs Ear BF. A very dark brown beer with off-white bubbles for a head. The aroma is dry and slightly roasty with some good fruitiness. The taste is roasty and dry. Clean and acceptable, but not really enough stout like qualities.
