jason (1483), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 7, 2008 Bottle. Dark golden strawberry body. Aroma is a pleasant smell of wood and tart apples. Flavor is slightly dry tartness, wood and oak, mild to tart apples and a hint of lemon. This is one great cider that can go well for any season.
muzzlehatch (4425), Burlington, Vermont, USA Jul 15, 2008 Updated: Jul 16, 2008750 ml bottle from the Beverage Warehouse in Winooski, VT, served from a standard no-name wine glass at a bit below cellar temperature. Light "pop" of the cork, a bit of fizziness that quickly subsides in the golden/straw body which is just faintly hazy and bubbly....earthy, mineralic/chalky hints in the autumnal-sweet cider-apple nose, old Russets with hints of Empire perhaps....very smooth, eminently quaffable body, just beautifully balanced on the dry/sweet chart, with very little alcohol noticeable and a lovely hint of caramel sweetness at the finish...low to moderate carbonation, a real pleasure to drink with just enough complexity to retain interest through the bottle, enough easy roughness to make you enjoy that finish. Possibly the best from this solid cidery. heemer77 (3634), Savannah, Missouri, USA Jun 19, 2008 From a 750 ml bottle. A dark straw body with just traces of white head at the edges of the glass. The aroma is fairly sweet, yet at the same time vinous. Little hints of dandelions and fresh apples make this pleasant. The mouthfeel is relatively dry at first, but then this finishes sweet. There are notes of the tart apples with some woody hints, especially in the finish. There is a bright floral character thoughout. Lightly carbonated, this is a good thirst quencher for hot weather. nnck (5), Chandler, Arizona, USA does not count May 31, 2008 A nice, light cider -- sparkling and tart with a fruity aroma. Clean and great in the hot weather, particularly with grilled chicken and fish. Oakes (6819), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Apr 20, 2007 Bright, light yellow. Fresh, fruity and altogether clean aroma. Quite tart, with notes of apple skin and tannin. Bright on the palate with more apple complexity than the Semi-Dry. Very tart finish - fresh & fruity character is quenching indeed.
