bobinlondon (215), Harrow, Greater London, England Jun 4, 2008 Nitrokeg at the Red Lion, Qawra, Malta. Typical nitrokeg appearence with white creamy head. Pale amber in colour. Noticable hop aroma and quite complex floral citric flavour which only developed when beer warmed up from far too cold a serving temp. The most interesting beer that I tried on the island. I would call it an IPA. leaparsons (3899), Leicester, Leicestershire, England May 25, 2006 Bottle. Golden with an off-white head. Aromas are sweet grain with hints of toffee. Metallic with an unpleasant skunky fruitiness. Flavours are toffee and caramel malts followed by a citric sourness. Lots of dry, green bitter hops follow. Resinous and addictive, they add a lot to this beer. Has a prickly mouthfeel on the finish with yet more bitterness. Far better than I expected. mustolense (3), Spain does not count Apr 26, 2006 For sure the best Maltese beer. Good taste, it stays in your mouth refreshing it on the hottest Maltese days!
