REminiscent of the first Augsburger I had in 1977. wheninhell (486), louisville, Kentucky, USA

The head is rich and creamy in texture. Has a faint malty aroma. The body is thin. This is a fairly weak and watery beer. The finish has a slight sweetness of malt and just a kiss of the hops, but overall there’s not much here. Shag (1923), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 25, 2006 A dark golden to orange appearance. A slight malty and bready aroma. The flavor is somewhat dry with a hint of caramel and sugar. Tastes like a poorly made oktoberfest style beer. Not really all that bad at all for what it is. bigtasty (23), USA

I drank a twelver of it and then couldn’t get it anymore. iowaherkeye (1873), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 7, 2006 355mL can. The can alone makes me laugh--it looks like it’s for kids. Anywho, pours a clear amber with a moderate, quickly diminishing head. Aroma of some corn and sweet caramel malts. Taste follows aroma pretty well. Ultimately, I was pleasantly surprised b this--not by a lot though. CharlesDarwin (1849), Point Judith, Rhode Island, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Mar 16, 2006 Pours an orange copper, with a fast fading white head. Aroma of dusty malt and light sweetness. Flavor is similiar, with a markedly surprising sweetness and caramel quality, for the style at least. Palate is watery, but drinkable. As I commented to the purveyor, for a Pale Lager in a can from Wisconsin, it’s not bad. heemer77 (4311), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 1, 2006 A relativley dark orange body that approaches copper. This looks like a bock. The aroma is rich carrots and some fresh green beans. There is a hint of corn. Not a bad aroma. The taste has some light oats with a little bit of sharp celery in the finish. Relatively dry. This one of the best I have had in the style.
