Fat Weasel Ale

Medium aroma of bread/yeast. Clear, golden color with lots of fizziness. Lots of malty sweetness up-front on the palate with metallic notes mid-palate and little to no finish. Creamy mouthfeel coats the palate, and the metallic notes become less evident as the tongue is coated. However, the malty/creaminess is balanced iwth the nice carbonation. Not bad, though would be better without the matallic notes and with more of a finish

The Fat Weasel poured a clear straw colored with smallish head. Nice lacing but not much in the taste area. This is just an ordinary ale. The higher alcohol may be it best feature. It would take fewer to get a nice buzz. This is another beer form Trader Joe’s. All have been medicore. None have had me going back to get a six pack.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a thin off white head over a clear light amber (SRM 7-8) body..........nose of roasted malts with a bit of toffee, and cereal dominating.....taste is light cereal, finishing with a slight hop bitterness....mouth feel is light, carbonation high. This is a very light Amber, almost a Vienna.

Try this one again. I had it a few years ago, and was not impressed. in October 2009, after some time, I find the head more persistant, still malty, but not very aromatic. On the palate, however, this beer seems more robustly flavouful than I remember. Strongly malty on the palate with detectable alcohol, but also detecatble hops. Worth re-visiting.

Aroma is fairly strong and malty, not complex but still inviting. It pours a nice clear golden amber with a fairly thick though not persistent white head. Flavor is malty, a little crisp, slightly fruity and slightly bitter. Texture is smooth, somewhat thick and just a little tingly. Not too shabby.

12oz bottle thanks to funkybrewster. Pours a darker clear glowing golden with a fizzy soda head. Aroma of cereal grains , hard candy sweetness, candy sugar, lightly sourish. My impression was that this is a Golden Ale. Flavor is quite yeasty, some noticeable alcohol, hard candy sweetness, grassy, vanilla. Smooth carbonation, round and glassy, uniform fluffy foamy carbonation. Golden Ale?

Not sure where I had this puppy. I think a buddy brought it back from FL. Weak blonde flavor w/ alcohol astringency aftertaste

Golden color with a long lasting white head. Somewhat sweet, light aroma and an inoffensive sweet, slightly fruity taste to match. Has a slight alcohol burn. I found this quite mediocre, but it is very drinkable with a high alcohol content at a buck a bottle. However, I have better ways to get buzzed so I’m leaving the rest of the six pack to my roommate.
