Bottle 12 oz from TraderJoe’s. Cloudy golden amber with a medium white head that diminshed quickly. Soft malty sweet aroma. Light to medium body. Medium malt and hop flavor with a small bitter finish. Tasted once.

"Got a weasel it’s a teasel, ma pleasel ma pleasel gots a weasel"- Ween. Pours a hazy golden, thin head and lacing. Aroma is sweet and malty with a mild hop nose. This beer is definitely more in line with an Englisg bitter or pale ale than an amber ale, whivh makes me wonder where this classification comes from. Flavor-wise, It seems very much in tune with a bitter or a mild. Certainly decent for the price.

Dark straw color (not very "amber"). Light, unobtrusive malt aroma with some hints of honey. Flavor has an upfront yeastiness that is rather unpleasant. Overly sweet with some rough bittering hops but almost no flavor or aroma. A little--actually, a lot--too sweet for my liking. Just not a lot of flavors going on here.

Has a funky sort of aroma thats hard to pin point although i can smell a little malt in it. Sparkiling gold appearance and poured with a tiny fizzy white head. After the first sip the hops kick into gear and are strongly bitter added with a small lemon zest. Also a corn malt flavor will be consitent while drinking which got real annoying. I promise i wont drink this again.

Pours a yellow gold color. White fizzy head dissapates quickly. Some grainy aromatics, with an alcohol undertone. Some sweet malt flavor but an overbearing graininess combined with extremely transparent alcohol character dominates. Mouthfeel has the saving grace of a residual sweetness.

Not bad, bad not great, definetely tasted the alcohol in this one. Looked decent, slightly bitter in the finish and something else I wasn’t crazy about, unsure.

Nose of wheat and grass, light fruit tones. Pours a sparkling cloudy pale amber. Smallish mostly diminishing off white frothy head aproaching creaminess. Whoa! The really really sweet flavor is loose and sticky. Slight tart redemtion in the finish. Thin, creamy, sticky and loose. There is no nice way to say it, this beer sucks.

(12 oz bottle: Trader Joe’s in Pacific Beach, CA) The best of Trader Joe’s Fat Weasel series, this is a medium bodied, fruity, very sweet, almost honey-like ale, with a modest bitterness in the finish that clashes with the fruity sweetness and then hangs on the palate out of spite. The moderate malt backbone is on the grainy side. 7% alcohol is so readily apparent, it seems like 10%. The nose is grainy, sweet and alcoholic. Medium golden in color. The whitish head pours to an average size, fading to a thick rim and leaving only one large patch of delicate lacing. Inexpensive, but I can get Spaten Optimator at Trader Joe’s for $2 more.
