Pours a nice amber with a thick head that quickly dissapated. No noticeable aroma. Taste is mostly malty sweetness. No, it’s all malty sweetness. No finish. I was surprised to see the 7.1abv statment on the bottle. I don’t see the point. brewski519 (428), Morrisville, North Carolina, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | May 3, 2009 Sampled at World Beer Festival in Raleigh NC - this was called an Amber Ale but didn’t pour like one - poured a gold color with little head. A malty, yeasty aroma with the taste of malt and bread. Not great, not terrible. SpudClampDawg (1027), Jasper, Indiana, USA
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 4/5 | 2/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Apr 30, 2009 12oz bottle: Pours a translucent gold with a thick, frothy head that settles, but laces nicely. The nose is rather dead - offering little in the way of phenolics or malt presence. The body is a medium build, with a soft push of caramel sweetness. It dries on the back of the tongue on the way down. Hmm, this is the most tasteless 7.2% beer I’ve ever encountered. How is this even possible. Tastes like a glass of spritzer water was mixed with a tablespoon of amber malt extract. No hops, no yeast imprint, no malt complexity. I’m dumbfounded. Is my tongue broken? At the same time, I don’t taste any real flaws either - it is just kind of there. kuphish (161), Bloomington, Indiana, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 26, 2009 Bottle. Large, rocky-frothy, white head. Golden body. Malty aroma of cereal, hay and some wheat/bread. Light herbal hops. Sweet taste - pretty muddled flavors. Light, sweet, sticky body with a mildly bitter finish. A so-so beer with an overall muddy profile. Could use some refinement. mike67 (85), , New Jersey, USA

Poured bright golden with a foamy head. Aroma is light, dominated by malt and yeast. Very smooth. Sweet malty flavor upfront with some light but pleasant hops at the finish. Quite drinkable for the price. phukktifano (159), Richmond, Virginia, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Apr 11, 2009 6-pack from Trader Joe’s in Albuquerque...brewed by Schell. Poured bright amber with little head that dissipated quickly. Sweet aroma with little hoppiness and much maltiness. Sharp quality at the front with sweet malt. Not much flavor on the back-end. Although it wasn’t complex, I really liked it for a contract brew.
