Jul 11, 2007 This was a crappy representation of the style. It came off as more of a pale lager in every respect: straw yellow, clear, rapidly receding white head, grainy/corny aroma. Quite a featureless grainy palate with little discernable hop character. Poor at best.

Jul 7, 2007 Cloudy medium gold pour with quickly fading white head. Very nice aroma at 1st with a touch of malt, and fragrant hops, that turned malty and a bit overly yeasty and bready as it warmed. Taste is very balanced with a nice malt and hop presence with a touch of yeasty flavor coming in soon after all with a minimum bitterness. Very good and drinkable all around with a light hoppy finish.

May 6, 2007 hay yellow with thin head. mostly watery sweet hay with mild bitter and hops note slight vanilla. balanced but flavor is defintely not dominant in this beer

Apr 4, 2007 Golden, hazy body - has some hefeweizen-like characteristics in appearance. Aroma is predominately yeasty, lightly cheesey. This lacks the hop content i want. Going down the consistency is just too watery. While this isn’t great,I thought it was better than the current 1.95 / 7% would indicate.

Feb 11, 2007 Hopheads won’t have a sensitive enough palate to appreciate this beer. It’s actually very well balanced--more like a delicate Rhone than a Cali Cab. And at $5/ 6 pack, it’s a steal.

Jan 5, 2007 Slightly unusual aroma - there is hop. Slightly hazy gold color with a vigorous white head. Something of a flavorless start. There is some hop at the end, and I think I am detecting malt as well. Very innocuous. The bitter does go on nicely.

Dec 27, 2006 Updated: Jan 4, 2007This is a contract brew labled as being by the River Trent Brewing Company of Ukiah, CA and sold by Trader Joes. Beware! This is not good stuff. Poured a light copper color with a big foamy head. Left almost no lacing. Nose is skunky, ans smells stale.. Mouthfeel is very watery, and flavor is.... what shall we call it...off. Ranks down there with some of the worst brews I have every tasted. I hate to give such a poor rating, but Trader Joe’s probably sells a lot of this and potential buyer should be warned.
