This has an aroma to it that I can only descibe as "funk". Flavor is lacking, aftertaste is sour, 6-row graininess, heavy diacetyl with a slight astringent aftertaste. Thin bodied. | 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 31, 2004 Pours dark gold in color. Aroma is that of wet towels. Not a whole lot of flavor. Maybe a little grain. A little lousy apple juice bitterness.
Poor example of an APA. PBOYNY (316), Westchester, New York, USA

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jun 8, 2004 (Bottle) Fairly flavorless beer with a somewhat sweet and modest fruity flavor up front; Mildly bitter but almost no hops or maltiness to speak of, which is especially disappointing given that this is supposed to be a pale ale; Fairly thin palate to match the flavor; Sweet and very fruity nose with a strong aroma of peaches, which isn’t bad, but out of character; Slightly cloudy and dark yellow in color; Off white head has good size when poured and displays average retention with a fair amount of lacing nomadicon (4), USA does not count | 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | May 9, 2004 Slightly heavier body than american lager. Little hint of barley and bitter finish. Best drank at warmer temperature. DrunkAsASkunk (847), Lynnwood, Washington, USA
| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | Mar 22, 2004 This beer poured a slightly cloudy light yellow color...the cloudy being due mainly to it being ice cold..the only way it was even halfway drinkable. The aroma was nonexistant...it took some real digging around, but there was a hint of sweetness in there. The pour had a slight white moppy head which died almost on impact. The taste made my head jerk bad SO hard that i almost gave myself whiplash...that bad! Extremely watery finish, yet horribly dry...like cardboard in the finish. Some hints of corned malt...yeah, i did just say corned malt. Artifically cardboard aftertaste..very unappealing...nowhere near pale ale quality...more like a liquid snickers fron a non-name brand. Heavily carbonated too may i add! boto (1345), Granby, Connecticut, USA

With a name like that,it has to be good, right? WRONG! It poured pretty much like a fizzy yellow beer. Really no aroma, and not much taste. And the little taste it had was very unappealing. No real hops at all. How can they even call this a Pale Ale? I have no clue. This is not going to be the beer equivalent of Trader Joe's 2 Buck Chuck wine.
