| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Jun 4, 2009 smells fishy, malty and salty. dark dark amber with a light beige foamy head, taste is nutty like pecans, malty, dark sugar, a little salty, mouthfeel is a little poppy and overcarbonated. this is legendary, nothing better bang for your buck, ever, in any situation, also enjoyable in a wide temperature range. rosenbergh (877), Helsinki, Finland

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 8, 2009 You know, I’m actually enjoying this beer. My wine Guru Steve from my local LCBO was the one who pointed it out, at first I was a bit skeptical because well.......every other faxe beer pretty much sucked. But this is pretty good. I havn’t really had to many Dunkler Bocks, infact, this is the first one I rated, so I don’t really have anything to compare it to.
Ok, so it pours a dark mahogany brown with a shortly lived off white head. The aroma is toffee, caramel, a bit of nuttiness, coffee, brown sugar, tap water, and a light metallic note. The flavour is more or less an exact replica of the aroma, with a bitter instant coffee finish. It’s not the cleanest cut beer, its a little too carbonated, the alcohol is a little too prominent, the finish is a little weird tasting, but for the price, its pretty damn good. cfrancis (311), Gloucester, Ontario, Canada
