Can. Brown colour - much like cola. Beige/brown head. Sweetish, malty aroma with fruity and roasted notes. Flavour is sweetish. Alcohol and roasted notes. Notes of melon and apple. Slightly metallic. Nice!

Can (BB 09/2005)
Very dark brown, small creamy tanned head. Toasted malty aroma plus burnt sugar. Roasted malty, carbonated, a bit sweet, bitterish, alcoholic flavor. Nice suprise, I couldn’t think that Faxe can brew this good - certainly underrated here (propably because of the brand).

(Can 50 cl) I always wondered why Faxe doesn’t market their best beer on their home turf. But we still have to go abroad to buy this. Very dark brown - almost cola-coloured. Extremely full-bodied, malty with some nutty notes. Dry without being immensely bitter with a pleasant, balanced sweetness. A very nice beer indeed and rather close to a typical German bock. 261299

Deep reddish colour with a small off white head. Malty, grainy aroma with a dried fruit sweetness. Artificial sweet flavor with alcohol hints in the finish.

International Night of Swill tasting. Dark brown pour, no head. Sweet wine like aroma. Taste is, well, there’s flavour and considering what we have experienced so far, that is a start. The mouthfeel was fizzy, and what flavour was there was certainly along the artificial syrupiness side of things, but it wasn’t offensive and I didn’t mind it.
