Clear bronze brown color with a fluffy light tan head. Sweet caramel mixed with a american standard aroma. Somewhat thin and fizzy. Initial caramel and malt flavors are quite enjoyable, they unfortunately are replaced by a saccharine sweetness. Finish has a small alcohol bite and later a decent light toasted malt linger. This is one of those roller coaster beer. Good this, not so good that. Thanks slikwily.

They must have changed the recipe. I found this to be better than average. I didn't want this to happen. Cola pour with an off white head. Malty sweet cookie aroma. With notes of vanilla and roast. Burnt sugar and spice. This had loads of chocolate I would never have expected. Least of all from a can. If you haven't had one in a while, try one. They must have screwed something up in BRYGGERIGRUPPEN, because they might have made something that is all right! Seriously, it was pretty good.

Came in a 1/2 liter can...labled as a "festive bock" No date code or best before. Pours a crystal clear brownish red (light cola color) with a chunky light tan cap that settles down fairly quick and does not lace or ring the glass. Low carbonation. Beer was not very lively in the glass and if you looked at it after it had been poured and settled for a few minutes for the first time you'd swear it was flat. Weak aromas in this beer for such a dark beer.... hints of malt and some sweetness with the alcohol very subdued (for a 7.7% beer!) Started with a large full mouthfeel!?(unexpected for a beer that had so little nose to it) ...big malt and sweetness then a slight hint of hop is detenctable then the finish is more balanced with the hops detctable at the end and a distinct dry, hop after taste. Not a bad dark beer at all but nothing distinct about it and certainly not for those who like a nice cap on a beer and some effervescence. another thing I noticed is the alcohol in this beer is well hidden taste wise and doesn't provide the distinct "warming" effect that you ususally get in these high test beers....more like it crashes down on you after you had a couple...very easy drinking beer with a time released "kick"....watch it ...and have fun. ;-)

This beer pours a almost black colour with a tan, coarse bubbled head. The aromas consist of caramel, malt and a small amount of citrus. First sip showed flavours of roasted malt with a bitter finish. It had a light palate with more roasted malts and bitters.

Light amber coloured with a disappearing head. Malty, roasted aroma. A light spicy taste. Rather bitter aftertaste.
