500 ml can, 7.7% a/v I beleive this is my first bock! Lets see how i like it! Pours an intensely dark rub red, with a fine light brown head. Faint smell of roasted malt. Tastes slightly fruity when it first hits the toungue then goes on to have a slightly spicy taste. Pretty good beer, but maltier then I expected. My favorite faxe beer so far!

Can. Weak, sweet roasted aroma. Very dark brown colour with a red hue. Small head. Roasted, peppery flavour. Well-balanced. Malty, peppery aftertaste. A good Doppelbock.

Deep red-brown, moderate tan head, decent lace. Aromas of butterscotch with an earthy element. Generous caramel malt flavour, slightly nutty, earthy. Full-bodied but not cloying or harsh. A decent bock indeed!

Pour body for the style. Not a complex taste, no balance. I expected it to be the best of the 3 Faxe beers available to me. It was the worst.

Canned: Dark red/brown coloured. Biege head. Sweet and malty aroma with notes of liqourice and ccaramel. Flavour is sweet, breddish, alcoholdense and has some caramel notes. Is quite smooth and sweet in the end. Has loads of alcoholwarmth and gets a little sticky.

Sweet, grainy, bready and herbal with some mild notes of corn in the aroma. Clear brown body with low but lasting tan head that recedes slowly and leaves some sudsy lace. Fresh bready malt flavour with some herbal notes and mild finishing bitterness. Medium body with faitly strong carbonation that is pointy but not overly so. All in all, this was surprisingly well made, if not terribly exciting. Can (LCBO, May-05) sampled with ClarkVV and muzzlehatch.
