This full-bodied danish dunkel is a warming, inviting pint of malty richness with a siren’s song of a velvet hammer glow after the third pint. A great brunette in a country noted for its blondes

Courtesy of Papsoe. Thanks, Henrik. Lightly toasted, sweet malt aroma. The body is a red tinged brown and holds a very nice looking, two finger thick, tan head that fades slowly. Malty fore with mild fruit notes and lots of toasted grain accents on to the dry, clean finish. Pretty well made, fun drinking beer. No real trace of the near 8% alcohol save a mild phenol note that blends into the toasted malt. Pretty good brew here.

I found the can did lend a metallic taste with a bitter sweet taste, for the high alcohol content is hard to distinguish. Not bad, next.

500ml can: pours with a dark cola-ish hue, toasted and malty aroma, strong malty taste, very thick in texture, a good bock beer.

I really enjoyed this beer. Caramel taste with a fuller palate was very enjoyable.

Smells like ginger snaps and christmas cake. Nice looking frothy beverage with very light lacing. Molases and hops flavour with light aftertaste. Nice flavour that disappears too quickly. Overall a light flavour for a bock but nice and smooth. Alcohol is well hidden.
