CaptKirk (175), Hephzibah, Georgia, USA Oct 18, 2005 I really enjoyed this beer. It was a warm day and I was sitting outside enjoying the pizza bread. This was as close to a german wheat as I have had. One of my favorites from this bar. A little hoppier then I care for in a wheat, but a good choice. BückDich (4540), Boise, Idaho, USA Jul 9, 2004 Thick cloudy tan colored with a ring of head & lacing. The aroma is chock full of the traditional banana/clove esters & plenty of clean wheat. Other notes of bubblegum & coriander spices. The flavor has just the right amount of tangy wheat & hallertau hops. Spicy fruity finish and no alcohol presence. Damn near perfect example of a german wheat. All it’s missing is that distinct caramelized complexity you can only get from a decoction mash.
