Commercial Description:
A huge malty beer. This beer is fall weather warmer for sure! Hops are subdued in this style. A nutty slightly roasty finish is the hallmark. Brewed in the traditional Strong Scotch style. OG=1.085 / FG=1.025 / 25-IBU’s / 8% alcohol

Draft at the Luck Lab Beer Hall. Pours reddish amber with a short off-white head. Rich malty aroma. Medum plus body with moderate carbonation. Flavors of smooth roasted caramel and sweet darkish fruits. More sweet than not the finish. A note of honey off and on.

Dark mahogany pour with a thin white head. Toasty malt nose of caramel and hops. Good malt forward flavor rich and warming sweetness. Heavy chewy malt body, sweet throughout with a soft earthy hop finish.

Tap @ Fearless... Poured amber with a white head. Thick, syrupy palate with flavors of malt and grains and very sweet candy flavors. Maybe some ginger in their too. Easy finish and very drinkable.

A very appealing amberish brown, with a generous ring of white foam. A big caramel nose that follows into a sweet bready maltiness, with a frgrant nose that is somewhat floral and delicate, but lingers on the nose along with the flavors on the palate. Very well balanced and sweetly rich, it is just so smooth, I would love to have some more of this.

Had only time for ne pint at Fearless and happily they had a Scotch ale. Dark brown,, almost mahogany ale, small tan head , that ges very fast , leaving good laceing. Very little carbonation present. Very malty aroma, slightly roasty in character.Nice on a cold day. The taste again is on style full of lovelly maltiness, and warming alcohol, the alcohol is detectable but it actually lends something to the beer , rather than detracts. Its not quite as sweet as sme Scotch ales, but still in style. Very nice stuff. Good mouthful, like a good Scotch the mouthfeel is not thick, but nice and smooth. Very good drinkability for one so strong. Wish i had the cash for a Growler.

This is a very good scottish ale. Dark brown body with a tan head that does not disappear quickly. Very earthy tones. The alcohol taste comes in at the end, but not to bother because the next sip is on the way. This was a good finish beer to relax after a meal. A must try.

Mahogany with a light head and some spots of lace. Caramel nose with some earthiness and rich floral hops. The flavor is the same as the nose with some bitter hops and alcohol. Finishes malty with some bitterness.

Sampled draught at Fearless Brewing, Estacada
Clear auburn color, light head, decent lacing. Nose is malty with toffee & caramel. The flavor is nicely balanced with a sweet alcohol note followed by a rich chewy hop balance. Finishes clean, well built & to style. Nice scotch ale.
