| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jul 21, 2008 Amber color with no head. Aspidites is right. This one is more or less iced tea with a light hop presence. I also got a little metallic/plasticy weirdness. Sounds like this one used to be a lot better. aspidites (1274), manteca, California, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 21, 2007 Bomber. Aroma of caramel malt and floral hop. Light amber color with a white head that flattened. Near medium body with sharpish carbonation. The flavor is caramel with floral hop. The finish is thinnish malt with some hop building for balance. For some reason it got a bit watery at the end. DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Nov 24, 2005 (22 oz bottle: $3.29 at Liquor Barn in Redding, CA) I had a small sample of this courtesy of a friend while camping a few months back and thought it was pretty bad, even for a camping trip, so I’m not looking forward to doing a "real" rating on this beer. Cheap, sweet honey sits in for the normal caramel with poor results, though the beer seems to become more vaguely caramely as it warms up. Mild bitterness for balance, but the perfumy flavor is unpleasant, and the "plastic" aftertaste is worse. Perfumy, flowery nose isn’t encouraging me to keep drinking either. Light-medium body, well-carbonated. Bright orange-amber color and nearly crystal clear. Bubbly, light tan head shows below average retention, fading to a ring very quickly. Unpleasant, cheap-tasting, nope, this isn’t even suitable for camping. beerguy101 (3971), Newark, California, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 5, 2005 22 oz bottle. Medium amber color. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is fruity and sweet, touch of caramel. A medium bodied amber. Malts are fruity and VERY sweet, not cloying but damn close. Hops are mild and a touch grapefruity. Well. Its not your standard amber, and once you can get past the overall sweetness of the beer, it does have some nice malt flavors. Yet it is somewhat bland and kind of one-dimensional. Drinkable, but the overall sweetness makes this one kind of hard to recommend, If you like a sweet amber ale, this could be your beer. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is sweet. | 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | May 3, 2005 Body is hazy light amber.
Aroma is lightly malty (bread), lightly hoppy (flowers), with a note of cardboard.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter, unclean.
Medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation.
Brought back from a visit to the brewery by Aubrey (I sampled this with the gang back in January). Was already oxidized, and overall a really amateurish homebrew-like beer. Aubrey (2781), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 4, 2005 Deep amber-gold with a nice head. Nice mouthfeel (easy-to-drink, smooth). Malts exude with big caramel, cookie dough, and a pinch of honey-like sweetness. Some toasty toffee as well. Hops are flowery and aromatic with a mild, but fairly balancing, bitterness. Nice session beer. "Hoppy," but not very bitter.
