Draught at Wetherspoons. Darkish amber colour with decent white head. Sulphurous aroma and it’s the predominant characteristic in the flavour. Thin bodied. Think Marston’s Pedigree, only not quite that awful.

Cask - Fat Cat, Norwich. Amber in colour with a small white head. Fruity maltiness in the aroma, though nothing particularly discernible. Green apple flavours, some stale malts and dusty hops with an earthy hop finish. It seems a bit confused and muddy. An ok mouthfeel, light carbonation and a slight finish.

Cask-conditioned at the Clytha Arms, Gwent 11/05/09. Chestnut coloured with a lacy, off-white head. Big malty, aroma with plenty of red fruit and a hint of spicy caramel. The flavour also began with plenty of sweetness, a hint of sulphur and and a decent bitter finish. Served in excellent condition and good stuff.

pours a clear dark amber with a large foamy dirty white head, good lacing.
smell is of malt, sweet caramel, earth, roasted nuts, touch of hay.
taste is malt, butterscotch, touch of citrus, a little watery on the backside, few hops, just a touch of roasted nuts.

Cask (Kitty’s, Helsinki) Red healthy head. Seriously sour malty aroma, alas seems to be because we’re at the end of the barrel. It’s metalic body is fruity sweet, I’m sure I’d like this, so will re-rate if possible.

Cask @ Horsens beer festival. Slightly hazy reddish golden body with a big off-white head. Aroma is mostly maltish. Flavor is malty, floral hoppy and bitter but sadly to thin body. This beer is watery and not very balanced, short finish. This tasted better from bottle so it might have been something wrong with this particular cask.

Cask@Farmers Arms, St Davids, Wales. Reddish brown beer with a strong white head. The aroma is very light and the flavour is watery and mildly dry. Overall a reasonable plain beer.

(Cask at GBBF, London, 9 Aug) Copper colour with brief off-white head. Malty, nutty nose with a touch of citrussy fruit. Malty, slightly nutty taste with notes of citrus (orange, mandarin) and a fairly dry finish with spicy bitterness. Good balance between malt, fruit and hops, but not really exciting.
