Pale insipid beer, heads ok I suppose. Almost nothing on the nose, smooth and malty on the palate, but has no distinguishing features. the finish has an odd vegetal tint to it. Buy again?? Nah!

500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. ABV is 4.2%. Clear copper coloured beer, decent off-white head. Fruity aroma (red berries), also hints of caramel. The flavour is fruity and malty with very moderate hops / low bitterness. Slightly "dusty" finish. Not bad.

a reddish brown pour with a thin dissapearing head. has an aroma of malt and grapefruit and fruit. kind of watery with medium carbonation. very clean tasting. nutty with a slight roasted toffee and light peat to it, with some light fruit undertones. not very bitter though. for being called a bitter its not very accurate for its style, but not too bad tasting.

Inviting nose of dried fruit & berries, apples, flowers, citrus, and caramel. Pours a clear copper with amber highlights. The mostly lasting off-white creamy head leaves good lace. The front is balanced, the middle malty with a light acidity, and the toasted finish is full of lovely fig and raisin and fig notes. The medium body is dry and lively, the finish feels astringent. A perfect session offering. I’m a sucker for a well done bitter. Thanks to my buddy Rick bringing this over with him.

A Mes rate: 50cl bottle supped from a wine glass in the car park at Portmeirion. Malt and caramel nose with slight hops and unfortunately a bit of apple. Colour is excellent. Don’t know if it is something to do with it being such a fantastic day but it is a glorious golden brown colour with a good white head and lace. Flavour is marginally better than the nose with some nice nutty caramel nots and a prickly bitter hop finish. To be honest it’s better than I was expecting.

Bottle from BevMo. Light brownish color on the pour. Light roasted malty aroma, somwhat bitter. Some English hoppiness. Roasted caramel maltiness right up front. Somewhat nutty. Some bitterness in the finish. Not bad.

1/2 litre, poured a nice burnt orange-red, just a thin film on top. Barely any aroma; but this delivers as a big, rich, caramel drink, nutty, and sweet. As it warms, it mellows and becomes quite quaffable. Decent. (#2960, 6/4/2007)

Ølfestival Horsens 2006. Cask. Amber with a nice head. The aroma is fruity and fresh. The flavour has light notes of fruit, citrus and caramel. It’s refreshing and would be a nice session-beer. 1619
