| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 25, 2006 draught in St Louis, MO. Drussels Pub. Well. I ordered the extra bitter double dragon. Perhaps i was ordering the double dragon and not just the dragin. Regardless I quite enjoyed this ale. Dark amber beer. Sparse but sticky head. Nose is oxidized iron, apples, apples, rotten apples. A fruitiness that was highly appreciated. The english malts were present. Cotton candy type sweetness that died quick. Same in the mouth. The rusty iron explodes and then turns into apple pie. Slght hint of soy sauce but mostly a fruity, rusty malt goodness. Bitterness is minimal but there. Beer finishes quick. The only thing that lingers is the apple and not for too long. Gone before it started. This could be better. All in all...a decent beer.
