Bottle. Head was average creamy. Color was murky brown. Aroma was a god mix of berries vinegar, wood and some oak. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and a dry texture. Flavor was light to moderate acidic with some sweet notes. Really god Flemish Sour.

A Mes rate: 75cl bottle from the Kulminator. 1989 bottle no less according to Leen and it looked it. Thick with dust and cobwebs with a very flakey label. None of this new school rubbish this is the genuine 5.5% article from Clarysse and poo the bed is it good. All that age but its still lively enough to prickle the palate. Superb Flemish sour nose. It wasn’t too great initially but once it had been open for a while and allowed to acclimatise it gave up wonderful balsamic notes with fruity red wine and gently sweet malt. Some slight brown sugar and custard in there too. Great looks, Simply fantastic. Thick thick head settled to a thinish film that lasted all the way down. The stunning chestnut brown body turns almost blonde at the edges. Really and amazing looking beer. In the mouth there are stong balsamic notes and lots of chewy caramel malt with some chocolate too. Slight metallic notes but we will let that slide. Totally out of the blue hops jump out of nowhere for the finish which almost instantly turns sweet and raisiny. Simply stunning. Damn rate beer being so over the top sometimes and not allowing this to be listed where it should be, with the Clarysse brewery and not with this substandard version.

Slightly hazy dark red/brown with a short lived off-white head. Caramel, butterscotch, vinegar and cherry aromas. Quite sweet with a nice acid finish. 1982 bottle courtesy of Lövenlund: Much more musty, earty and leather aroma. Spectacular funky, earthy flavour, worth a 9 for flavour.

1975 (31 year old) vintage. Trnasparent red-brown body, nearly no acid. Dusty alcohol, nut, wood aroma. Some cherry and apple. Light sour and both sweet acidic flavour.

Veyr good, nice colour, I was told it was going to be retired and I picked a bottle immediately, It has good sediment on it and the taste is just great. Good orange alike and dark features.

Vintage 75cl bottle from Utobeer. Labeled Felix Oudenaarde Oud Bruin. Opaque caramel in colour with a fluffy beige head that subsides quickly. Heavy sediment which is difficult to spot, even against the light. Nose of grapes, cherries and dark chocolate. An understated taste to match with notes of raisins, blackberry and blackcurrant. Long and slightly sour blackcurrant finish. Soft, syrupy texture. A fairly mild oud bruin.

[Bottled at Vinens Verden] 1999 version. Something must have gone wrong with this wonderful beerstyle. I had to pour it out.
