[Bottled at Vinens Verden] 1999 version. Something must have gone wrong with this wonderful beerstyle. I had to pour it out.

Bottle. Best before Feb ’05. Dark reddish brown with a loose, fluffy off-white head. Dark fruit aroma with liquorice and some sourness. The flavour has sweetness and a slightly metallic edge, but the sourness is most palatable.

Bottle (London Drinker 06): 75cl Sold as Verhaege Felix Oud Bruin. Mild amber brown with a tan head. Nice woody nose with sherry and port wine. Slightly oxidised flavour, but not too much to detract from the simple grapes. Oaky notes. Lacks tart edge, but still tasty.
