Bottle. Pours a clear brown colour with an off-white head. Malty fruity yeasty aroma. Sweet malty bitter and yeasty hoppy flavor. Fruity hoppy finish.

Dull cloudy muddy brown colour - like ditchwater. The barrel carried a sign saying that’s what it’s supposed to look like. That may well be the case, but I can’t say the appearance was exactly enticing. Biscuity, cereal - Weetabix - aroma and taste. This is not a clean and crisp wheat beer, but interesting. However, I found the overall effect a bit much after a while. Odd, but fascinating. Extra points for bravado. Cask (gravity), Thurrock Beer Festival

Might have to seek out a few more beers from this brewer, the only two i've had so far have been great. Nose is slightly roasty with some banana esters, and a touch of chocolate, aroma is quite mild however. Flavours pretty much correspond to the aroma. Palate is sweet lightly tart, with minimal bitterness, relatively smooth and mild palate, but well balanced (Cask-ChelmsfordBf 03')

Mild aroma with roasted coffee notes. Dark chestnut body, hazy, with lively carbonation and a creamy yet irregular head. Good palate. Surprisingly mild flavor. Something like a milk stout? There was a cream edge to this. It tended to fade over time. (gravity pour at 2003 Chelmsford Beer Festival)
