Nov 23, 2007 The secret to a golden ale has to be the combination of malt freshness pairing with delicate and bright hops – all enveloped by obvious, but moderate minerality. This one does not quite achieve this balance, taking the common very grainy path and being a bit sloppy on the hop – only floral and not very bitter at all, so the sweetish malt flavours dominate in the end.
