Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular.
This light coloured "session Beer" has a complex hopping. Hints of citrus underlying a malty kick.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Wig & Pen, Northampton. A golden coloured bere with a thin whitish head. The nose has banana candy, whilst the taste has smoked toffee. Really smoky, whether by aim or otherwise is not sure, but far smokier than Schlenkerla Helles has ever been. Intruiging and odd, but went down pretty nicely.

Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Citric hop aroma. Taste has malty sweetness mixed with a metallic and not particularly welcome fizziness. Some late bitterness. Wasn’t particularly keen on this. 2.8.08 Same location. Dark gold, small white head. Sweet, curiously sharp aroma. Odd spicy cardboard taste with a little light cigarette smoke. Interesting but ultimately unappealing. Rated: 5,3,6,4,10:2.8

Straight golden pour covered by a sparkler’s white head that lasts. This is in fine condition, a rather bright straw and grain malt mixture. The hops come across as plentiful, zesty, lemony and in communion with the grains. Finishing dry, almost chalky with its minerality and joyously bitter. Drinkable and highly pleasant offering.
