Dec 28, 2007 Cask @ Market Porter, Borough. Pours a clear dark amber color with a small off-white head. Roasted malty aroma with some hints of caramel. Roasted malty flavor with some hints of hops and caramel. Fruity malty finish with a slightly spicy aftertaste.

Nov 29, 2007 (Cask) Ruby with a short, creamy, head. Some toffee and coffee in the scent. Watery, sweet. Cherries and winter berries in the mouth.Too much sugar for me.

Jan 22, 2007 500ml bottle from brewery stall at Ely market. Deep reddish brown with thin beige head. Plastic yeast, dry malt aroma. It’s an alright malty strong English ale. This plasticky yeast won’t go away from these beers, but the rest of the beer is good. Big strong dry malt flavours. Bit of whisky, dry malt, nice spicy warming malt finish.
