highlandlad (1200), Sydney, Australia Sep 22, 2008 A quenching Australian wit. Not a world-beater but better than many local stabs at the style. Cloudy unfiltered straw colour with a negligible head for a wit. Intriguing aroma of sour banana mash, lemon barley water and coriander. Medium bodied and softly carbonated. Feels quite substantial in the mouth but thins in the swallow. Some pepper and tangy orange in the mid-palate before a sour, dry finish. (330ml bottle from Randwick Village Cellars.) MBison (403), Southern Highlands, Australia Jun 23, 2008 Bottle (330ml). Poured a hazy golden yellow with a small, rocky, white head which was average lasting. Aroma was of yeasty/grainy malts with apples, dried apricots, vanilla and some soapy notes. Flavor was a sour lemon tang with grainy/yeasty malts, grassy hops, pears, cinnamon, a hint of vanilla and some soapy notes in the finish. Light bodied with lively carbonation, creamy mouthfeel, watery texture and a good finish. Labarde (22), Australia Jun 13, 2008 Spicy orange aroma. Medium head, didn’t last long. Fantastic wheaty taste of coriander and citrus. Maybe a little watery. A solid attempt at the style. Unholy_Brewing (312), Melbourne, Australia Jun 9, 2008 ...bottle. Was actually surprised at the quality, and taste of this brew. Nice flavor, citrus notes, and decent amount of sediment. Better than most sad attempts by aussie brewers at this style, worth a try, and not overly expensive.
