Faint hop bitterness and caramel flavors. Color is a clear copper color but this one could have a lot more to it. Quake1028 (633), Tampa, Florida, USA

Had this one directly after the Upland Amber.....not such a great idea. Pour is light amber, bordering on pink, small white head with no retention or lacing. Who slipped me a pumpkin beer? Oh wait, this just smells like one. Actually, this smells more like a Marzen or pumpkin beer than several of the ones I have had recently, I’m just not sure that’s what they were aiming for. Nose of nutmeg, malts, clove, cinnamon and allspice. Flavor is more of the same, a bit subdued, no hops anywhere to be found. Medium to thin bodied, somewhat sticky palate, decent mouthfeel. Average carbonation. Finish is watery, medium length, sweet malts and finally some hop bit at the bitter end. Below average. argo0 (6907), Washington DC, USA

The beer tasted uneven. Boring and broken. It tastes like you mixed different beers together and they don’t get along. Mouthfeel was off. Color murky. Smelled the way it tastes and looks: Murky. obguthr (1031), Poquoson, Virginia, USA

Amber color, thick yellowish head, good lacing. Yeast and tin taste. Tinny hops in the finish, and not bad. Gets less yeasty during warming. My impression improved several times during the course of the bottle. ecelis (2), Tampa, Florida, USA does not count | 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Jul 25, 2007 Pretty boring. Could use more hops. I guess its OK for an every day beer but not for a special occasion. BillKismet (1943), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 25, 2007 Mild amber with sumptious frothy, creamy head. Light intermingling of malt & reserved hops bespeaks balance. Easy complement of malt & hops in flavor, finely balanced. Not exceptionally flavored, but right on for the style. A solid session amber.
