PorterPounder (2749), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Jun 17, 2008 Columbia, SC - Total Wines - 12 oz bottle. Medium orange pour, sticky white head. A bit of spruce in the aroma with some hints of mint. Good, bitter, citrusy flavor with an odd hint of vinegar in the finish. Some minty notes as well. Slight fade in the finish - a turn to metal. Solid, above average IPA for a macro-micro IPA. chandler0201 (77), Durham, North Carolina, USA May 23, 2008 Pours orange with a somewhat large white head. Aroma of some citrus and woody pine, tasted a bit bitter for my tastes, even for an IPA. Suttree (2237), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA May 19, 2008 Orange, with a fairly sizey white head. Vigorous carbonation. Seems kinda citrusy in the aroma, but more of a woodsy, herbal flavor. Maybe a touch medicinal, as well. Not horrible by any means, but not really standout, either. gonzo46and2 (105), Tampa, Florida, USA May 18, 2008 Great big aroma of flowers, citrus, and pine. Little notes of sweetness and alchohol on a closer whiff. Taste is small as IPAs go. Also leaves an oily felling on the tongue like microwave popcorn does. Metallic at the end. Not terrible but not that good. bombshelter (344), Washington, Washington DC, USA May 12, 2008 bottle from total wine. impressive for having very little useful information on the label. pours a mostly clear amber, moderate carbonation. aroma is herbal, funky hops. reminds me of 60 minute, but not as good. a little light on the palate for an IPA. still, not bad.
