A lot of piney hops up front, with some citrus following, Still pretty mild, but does have a nice hop flavor, not a terrible session ipa. shrubber85 (2995), Wallhalben, Germany

Initial taste of ruby grapefruit juice followed by piney hops. A less hoppier, fruitier IPA - a pretty solid effort for Matts. bhensonb (4360), Woodland, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jun 14, 2007 Aroma is something of a mix of grapefruit and other fruit, backed by a very, very light malt. Orange amber color with a frothy off-white head that laces minimally. Amost medium bodied. Clean citrus and other fruit, balanced by malt, and after the moderate carbonation leaves, the bitter is kind of grapefruity. The finish is balanced sweet and bitter. This is a nice drink, but not an outstanding one. Still, consider the price point. Better than some of the Pyramid strange labels. And with a few more mouthfuls, a decent amount of bitter resides in the mouth. BREWMUSKCLES (1086), New Jersey, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 13, 2007 this beer is somewhat unique to me. it has a nice moderate hop taste and then that prolonged german type hop bitterness that is tingly on the tongue. there is the anticipated grapefruit tang that has been made more refreshing with a malt profile that is backed off making it more fruity but not citrusy. this malt profile is all there but so clean and without a trace of the usual straw, hay, burnt grass, ect. ect. it is clean flavorful well made and refreshing with a good lingering aftertaste that is welcomed. all this and a touch creamy as if from the cask! Pretty enjoyable and sessionable IPA. Finished a little dull, but all around a good purchase. nbrew (1), Monterey, California, USA does not count | 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Jun 9, 2007 Picked up as a $3.99 sixer.
