| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 25, 2007 Bottle from Total Wine in Naples, FL. Pours a translucent pale orange amber with a sudsy, retentive white head. Faint aroma of pale malts and floral hops. Medium to light bodied with a macro texture and mouthfeel. Initial flavor of pale malts (caramel, pilsner) that quickly transitions to a muted bitterness that has notes of grass and citrus. Finish is semi-dry and soapy- and is distracting. This has potential, but has this nagging cheapness to it. Hawksfan17 (717), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Nov 11, 2007 This dark gold pour smells like sweet malt, then hops. Subtle notes of caramel maybe. It is very bitter in taste but this is followed by malt and then back to hops. It leaves a bad bitter taste in your mouth. scoobyluv (486), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Nov 5, 2007 smelled promising like of the apricots that could possibly signal a decent IPA. but alas, denied. turbid amber. minimal head. not much flavor too it. it takes like seltzer water with a splash of hops. i’ll pass jrob21 (1275), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Nov 1, 2007 Bottle brought back from GSO. Clear burnt orange color with a frothy white head. Not expecting a lot from this one. Grassy, hoppy aroma. Lemon and citrus in the flavor. A little thin and quick to finish. Would like a little more hop character in there too. But the hops you get are nice. hopscotch (5525), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 31, 2007 Bottle... Clear golden ale with a mid-sized, wispy, white head. Great retention. Spicy, hoppy aroma presents notes of toffee, pine and grapefruit. Flavor of moderately sweet toffee and medium bitter hops. Leans just a hair on the bitter side of balance. Medium-bodied with a skim-milk mouthfeel and mild carbonation. Leaves a bitter taste and very delicate, mineral oil-like coating on my tongue. It’s not a mind bending beer, but seems a bit underrated to me. thehinge (245), Wilmington, Delaware, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 29, 2007 Hoppy aroma. White head that dissipates quickly. I must say one of the worst IPA’s I have ever tasted. It does have some hoppy bitterness and lemon to it but has a HORRID, skunky end to it. I wonder if this was a bad batch. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Oct 14, 2007 Bottle. Pours an amber with an orangish hue. 1 cm thick white head that falls quickly. Light floral hop aroma, kind of soapy. Pretty thin in the hop department, and the finish is a bit soapy. Not hoppy enough.
