BREWMUSKCLES (799), WEEHAWKEN, New Jersey, USA Jun 13, 2007 this beer is somewhat unique to me. it has a nice moderate hop taste and then that prolonged german type hop bitterness that is tingly on the tongue. there is the anticipated grapefruit tang that has been made more refreshing with a malt profile that is backed off making it more fruity but not citrusy. this malt profile is all there but so clean and without a trace of the usual straw, hay, burnt grass, ect. ect. it is clean flavorful well made and refreshing with a good lingering aftertaste that is welcomed. all this and a touch creamy as if from the cask! Angeloregon (2002), Portland, Oregon, USA Jun 11, 2007 Pleasantly light amber colored beer with hoppy nose and sweet bitter bite. Pretty enjoyable and sessionable IPA. Finished a little dull, but all around a good purchase. Floback (267), N-town, Florida, USA Aug 24, 2007 Bottle from Total Wine. Pours a light amber and a small head with a frothy rim. Loose cascades of lace. The nose includes big flowery hop expressions. The tongue receives more piney hops, herbal earth, and a hint of orange zest. Well-balanced carbonation and full bodied. I feel isolated with my ratings today, as I thought this IPA was great when others don’t, and felt Trappistes Rochefort #10 was highly overrated when others rave about it. Just goes to show...taste is all a matter of individual perspective. maniac (2022), Richmond, Virginia, USA May 15, 2007 Clear golden amber body with a medium rocky tan head. Sweet citrus hops aroma with some caramel. Sweet caramel flavor with some citrus hops. scottyw (46), Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, USA May 25, 2007 overall, not bad. Pours and looks beautiful golden with a nice creamy head. The aroma leaves a lot to be desired, because I can only smell soap. The taste is very light for an IPA, average finish. Nothing offensive about this beer, really...everything is done on the light side.
