MoritzF (4859), Bochum, Germany Sep 6, 2009 (bottle) Clear, bubbly deep golden colour with a big and slightly off-white foamy head. Sweet caramel-malty and biscuity aroma with a tinge of sugar beet and herbal hops. Sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a soft carbonation. Cara-malty taste with biscuits and notes of candied fruits; sweet malty and shy hop bitter finish with traces of alcohol. All in all a likeable pale Bock. 06.IX.09 KAggie97 (2406), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA Sep 2, 2009 Bottle.
Pours a weak tea brown with an aroma of weak green tea and leaves. Slight molasses tinge in there as well. Flavor is doughy malt with a hint of earthy molasses in the finish. Thin mouthfeel. I bet a fresh bottle would be a lot better. bierkoning (5989), La Tropica, Netherlands Jun 15, 2009 Bottle from kappldav123, thanks!. Deep golden color. Malty aroma and flavor with peach and cake dough. Just a hint of flowery hops and alcohol. Sticky mouthfeel. Allen (1287), Switzerland Jun 10, 2009 Bottled 50cl. Courtesy of kappldav123. It pours a deep golden, almost amber beer with a small fizzy off white head. Sweet with notes of honey, nutmeg and fennel in both nose and taste. Buttery, somewhat christmassy. Malt accentuated. Low bitterness. Very drinkable. Some raisins appearing. Sweet finish with onion sneaking in. Dissapointing. Thanks a lot kappldav123! Ungstrup (14757), Frederiksberg, Denmark Mar 14, 2009 Bottled. A light amber beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel and a sharp hoppy note and a light touch of alcohol. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and alcohol. The body is thick. Thanks yespr for sharing. JorisPPattyn (5155), Antwerpen, Belgium Oct 18, 2008 Small yellowish head over clear pale amber-orange beer. At first alcoholnose, not very refined, then grassy and herbal notes coming up. Some caramel. Sharpish ambrée/caramalt flavours. Sweet, alcohol and caramel; not very interesting. Despite the still visual aspect, quite some carbonation in the MF. Medium bodied; short sticky palate, long sweet aftertaste. Sweet Heller Bock. Danke, joss! Papsoe (14642), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 8, 2008 (Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Clear deep golden with a dense, off-white head. Lightly perfumy and floral aroma with plenty of malt. Good solid sweet malt base yet still somehow watery. Almost no bitterness. 050608 yespr (11646), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jun 8, 2008 50 cL bottle, trade with kappldav123. Pours clear and golden orange with a lacing white head.
