| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 21, 2008 (50cl NRW-bottle, courtesy of Koelschtrinker) Clear, mahogany colour with a big and moderately persistent beige foamy head. Sweet toast-malty aroma, slightly molassy with notes of caramel and sugar beet and a light but also almost Port-like alcoholic touch. Sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a smooth and friendly carbonation. Solid dark and toasty malt-character with caramel and residual sweetness; sweet but not sticky malt-accented finish with a very faint bitterness in the background. Nice, but still too sweet for my liking (21.03.08).
