Gentle, sweet, fruity, flowery aroma, with a hint of sourness. Deep golden color with a touch of amber. Head poured out very nicely, but shortly had subsided completely, leaving only some intriguing, fine-bubbled carbonation. Flavor is pleasant, with a light malty fruitiness, a little citrus zing and a very complimentary hop blend. Finishes very refreshingly. Light body, quenching and flavorful. What a Pils this is, wow. austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA

It’s a nice little hoppy Pils. Good aroma, nice head retention, and quite palatable. The ’stein’ makes a nice bookend :) Shag (1923), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 7, 2003 Pils im Stein - A nice citrus aroma. Appearance is golden. Flavor is slightly bitter with some citrus fruit coming out. A nice creamy mouthfeel. This is a nice simple pilsner, nothing fancy or overdone. And extra appearance points for the stien! | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 1, 2008 bottle. Clear yellow, large white head. Hoppy nose. Full-bodied, solid malty base with lots of herbal hops. Well-balanced and quite spicy. A good beer from the Erzgebirge. kappldav123 (1871), Markkleeberg, Germany
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 20, 2007 The bottle looks good. The beer in the glass is very washy. The beginning is sweet, a little bit too sweet for a pilsner I think. An average beer. joss (3685), Garching b. München, Germany
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 11, 2007 Bottle. Golden, pearling carbonation, off-white foamy head. Earthy hay aroma with chunks of hops. Grainy malt base, medium to light body, not exactly elegant hop balance - a big grassy wallop with some sulphury notes. Sparkly mouthfeel, dry finish.
