"damn" the heads gone already, so I don’t know what color it was, but is wasn’t white, so something darker and not quite white head. Wait, if it is gone before I got a good look at it was it ever really ever there? To be honest, one of the more worthless heads I have ever encountered. It still gets a two because the liquid still looks good, but I’m thinking the body is going to suffer. Caramel and corn soup aromas. Not bad, but not clean and very amber like. Actually the palate is quite light and with a nearly not as much fizz as I would have expected. Flavors of lightly toasted grain, touch of dark corn syrup and floral hops. I don’t find much that is Irish in this one. Generic sweetness in the finish and linger. ebrowner88 (113), Rice, Minnesota, USA

Not an offensive taste, but not much taste at all. Very lite malt and then just a hint of hops. (probably just from sitting on the summit loading dock) I could drink a shitload of these. Very lite bodied. Not very impressive, but the sixer won’t go to waste. SavageElvis (134), Savage, Minnesota, USA

Taste is the same, more malt than hops and thin. A pretty bland brew that finishes weak. markas101 (597), Fargo, North Dakota, USA

Tasted like a macro disguised as a micro. Went okay with wings, if only for the inherent water content in the beer. I did not taste the potatoes referenced on the label. Clean, easy drinking beer, typical I guess. Balance with a touch of caramel. The finish is toasty, meh. tennisjoel (951), Shakopee, Minnesota, USA

I wanted to sample this, mainly to rate the last available Summit beer and avoid having to purchase a whole bottle, or even worse, a sixer. Bland non offensive flavor. Faint hops. Potato - maybe - are you really going to taste it? Like rice or corn, it’s pretty flavorless.
A bad marketing gimmick but I’m sure it works for some folk, not for most ratebeerians, I’d guess though. OSLO (829), Minnesota, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Sep 29, 2007 [Draft, ABR ’07] Pours amber with a small white head. Very bland aroma. Taste is dominated by something that is strange and unpleasant--maybe the potato. Medium mouthfeel. Really not very good, ended up pouring out about half of my sample.
