Bottle: Pale pellucid yellow, no head or lacing. Nose of stale malt, light fruit, adjuncty metal, ugh. The flavor is lightly bitter, some note of hops, a bit acidic, mugh. Bad.

Bottle. Nice floral aromas. Orange tinged golden color with a white head that didn’t linger. Near medium body with rather sharp carbonation. Flavor is a bit flat, light malt and floral hop. Crisp and clean though. Rather refreshing. It’s growing on me. Starting to finish like a true ESB. Bitter builds up a bit in the mouth. It’s a good ale.

Pours a hazy golden with orange notes and a small creamy off white head that left a hint of lacing. Aroma of orange peel, grassy, cereal grains and not much else. Flavor was vegetal, corn, grassy, some light citrus note, light wheat and cereal grains.

21-Jan-08 (12-oz bottle: Purchased 18-Jan-08 for $1.50 at Gold Rush Liquors in Anchorage, AK) With several bottles sitting in ice in the store’s dollar bin, this is your typical golden ale. Grainy, moderately sweet with honey flavors, and very corny to suggest DMS, with little hop character or bitterness. Sweet honey and strong grainy malts in the nose. Body is light-medium in weight, carbonation is medium, and without much hops, this beer isn’t especially clean or refreshing on the palate. Golden in color and slightly hazy, capped by a small, off-white head that settles to a partial film and wide ring. A few strands of lace remain on the glass. In the dollar bin for a reason.

This golden ale poured with a decent white head that quckly subsided. There is a floral aroma and a bit of malt flavor with a bitter hop finish. Slightly carbonated and refreshing, but not otherwise remarkable.

12 oz. bottle, from Fred Meyer in the Portland area. Pours a hazy golden color with a small, foamy white head that diminished quickly. Aroma is quite faint, lightly malty and wheaty, with a touch of floral hops (not really so ’notable’ as claimed in the commercial description). Tthe hops become more notable in the flavor, bringing a bit of a bite to the brew, along with a mild and gently sweet maltiness. Light body and agressive carbonation that burns and tingles all the way to the stomach. Overall Id have to agree with the previous raters in that this beer is rather bereft of character, with the one exception being the overly assertive carbonation. I can imagine enjoying this on a hot summer day, sipping it briskly and mindlessly while sitting on a patio overlooking the beach - but then the greatest part of the enjoyment would be the result of the setting. So the beer itself, not so good. I’m not going to trash it as horrible, because it’s not really, it’s simply vapid.

Fro ma 12 oz bottle courtesy of bhensonb this poured a cloudy gold with not much head. Light mouthfeel. Nose of caramel malts and some floral hops. Flavor is a bit odd, and I cannot exactly say why but I was not all that fond of it. Not much finish. Pretty bland overall, but drinkable.

looks a lot like the blond but with a white head that dissipates quickly. smell is sweet, floral, straw, some lemon hiding in the background. taste is also sweet like cotton candy, crisp and light, with a small amount of wheat, some bitterness in the end, a bit on the flat side.
