Commercial Description:
The Fire Station 5 beers are brewed by Portland Brewing exclusively for the Fred Meyer grocery store chain. Brewed from only malted grains to produce a rich, deep bronze ale with a pleasing round flavor and just a hint of fruit.

Fire Boat Amber is the best of these three, but that is relative. The pour delivers an amber, almost orange, body. The white head that forms is average, but quickly dissipates. There is virtually no lacing. The aroma is of Honey Nut Cheerios and of damp soil after a light rain. The flavor presents earthiness, a touch of caramel, and an ever-so-minute nuttiness that is so much so that it almost isn’t. It is nothing spectacular. It is nothing bad. It is mediocre. My recommendation is to drink this if it is offered and the only beer present. But don’t purchase it. But something else.

From a 12 oz bottle that states this was brewed in Ukiah, CA this poured a clear amber with small white head and light lacing. Nose of caramel malts and a floral hop tinge. Mouthfeel is medium. Not a lot of flavor and mostly malts. No finish to speak of. All of these Fire Station 5 beers seem kind of average.

Reddish amber. Aroma of soft caramel malt. Flavor is nice mild malt. not much bitterness and not too much hop flavor. Goes well with pizza. Other than that a bit dull.

Clear amber pour with a fizzy small white head. Light malt and citrus in the aroma and flavor. No finish to speak worth mentioning. Not so good.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a one finger lasting white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of sweet malt and light caramel. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness. Not bad.

The aroma is malty and sweet with caramel, medicine, paper, and grass. The appearance is amber with a medium head. The flavor is astringent as hell with a touch of caramel and metal. The palate is thin. Overall a looser.

Not a real fun beer. Some hop aroma with low head and poor retention. Brownish/red amber color. Thought it would be better, but was disappointed.

pour is clear, light orange with a very thin off-white head. smell - a hint of hops, roasted nuts,. taste - kinda a green beer taste like it is not done yet, grainy, some citrus, a bit on the sweet side. overall im just glad i only bought one and not the whole 6-pack...
