rkuhnel (1102), Eureka, California, USA Jul 3, 2008 From a 12 oz bottle that states it was brewed in Ukiah, CA this poured yellow with a slight haze, small white head, and light lacing. Nose of floral hops and light malts. Flavor is mild and has an odd bite. Not much finish. Drinkable, but barely.
troysworktable (99), Washington, USA Aug 2, 2008 Golden Brigade Blonde Ale is the weakest of these three.
This one begins with light aromas—grain, an indistinct fruitiness, and sweaty leather jacket. The flavor that follows kicks off with a harsh "bite" and ends slightly metallic. There is not much in between except for a hint of a piece of hay dipped in melted caramel.
It is not very good. Would I have it again? In a word: no.
My recommendation is to pass on this one. ditmier (190), Boise, Idaho, USA Jul 5, 2008 2008 Bottle - Almost fooled by this beer that was brewed for Fred Meyer, pours yellow, aroma is grass and grain, flavour follows and while it offers more than your typical blonde (bitter character, malted grain), still is just meh... thooper41 (214), USA Jun 22, 2008 12oz bottle: pours golden yellow with minimal head, aroma of malt, flavor pretty much the same malty hint of hops pretty drinkable but not complex fishingnet (823), Brandon, Florida, USA May 15, 2008 Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma of sweet malt and yeast. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness. Good.
