Not nearly cloudy, spicy or zesty enough to be one of my favorite wheat beers. It was on sale at Kroger, though, and it’s still quite refreshing.

12 oz bottle labeled as Fire Hydrant Hefeweisen pours cloudy golden with a short white head that stays pretty well and laces in web-like patterns. Aromas of light yeast and bannanas. Flavor of bannanas, yeast, and light grains. Somewhat sweet finish, light body, and a good amount of carbonation. Seemed kind of watered down to me. Maybe that is why they changed the name to Fire Hydrant Hefeweisen...

Hazy gold pour with a slight head nice sour fruity aroma. A sour almost bitter taste dominated by bannanas. A foamy over carbonated palate. Not much for me.

Bright and light golden with a fully receding white head.Aroma of light grain and honey, with a slight huskiness. Taste is very lightly malty and flirts with sweetness but stays nice and dry. Very mild and subdued taste. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with lively carbonation. Nice texture, but not enough substance. Where’s the wheat?

slightly cloudy pale gold with a large white head. weak citrus aroma. light bodied. flavor has no banana or wheat notes. a light bready malt is all i detect. nothing like a german hefe. the first complete piece of crap i’ve tried from these guys.

Bottle. Slight peach and clove aroma. Cloudy pale orange yellow color with small head. Slightly sour peach apple flavor with light clove finish - almost like a less sour Berliner Weisse. Really was expecting a typical American Wheat with this beer but was pleasantly surprised. Very nice light beer - well crafted. Although not like a typical Hefeweizen, it has an interesting flavor - would be a great summer day beer and would probably be good with some sweetened fruit syrup a’la a Berliner Weisse.

Bland for a hefeweizen, but quite drinkable. Comes something of a blond ale, as opposed to hefeweizen, but there’s a hint of clove and banana. A bit of cooked cereal. There is sediment, but it must be pasteurized. It’s drinkable, but many others should rank ahead of this. Heck, in summer I could drink a lot of this.

Pours a hazy golden yellow. Aromas of bread and grains. Flavor is bland, not something I will try again.
