Commercial Description:
The Fire Station 5 beers are brewed by Portland Brewing exclusively for the Fred Meyer grocery store chain. A well-hopped, deep golden ale with a malty, full-bodied taste and refreshing finish. Sip and reflect on long journeys to exotic lands.

This beer is not memorable at all. I wish I could write more about it but it left no impressionable flavors or aromas and I can’t recommend anyone drink it.

Another lame offering from Fire Station 5. This one pours a light golden with a minor head that is gone before you notice it. Way too overly malty for an IPA, and has a very heavy astringency level. Bland and bad.

Bomber. Poured cloudy orange with Medium white head. Some lacing. Light aroma of citrus and hop. Flavour is sweet malt core with a hoppy kernel, but a metallic ting kept the flavour from being better. Hop finish with more metallic tinge

Bottle I’ve never heard of Fire Station 5, and now I know why. This beer is mislabeled. It is just another boring, forgettable "quasi-lager" dressed up as a "micro" IPA. If my beer had any hops in it, the hops is no longer detectable. The beer seems to have fermented into a Lager. It’s not an IPA. Very disappointing and pondering a drain pour with the rest of the sixer. Avoid this one at all costs.

22oz bottle. Pine, citrus, floral hop aroma. Clear golden amber with a fluffy off white head, highly carbonated. Mostly bitter flavor with a slightly sweet backbone. Slick soapy mouth feel with an abrupt finish. The hops are a little harsh in this one and not balanced to well. A good beer if the price is right.

$5.99 on sale at Fry’s....didn’t bother with a glass pour...crisp nondescript flavor. It’s definitely a "watered down" attempt at an IPA for the masses....Also, easy drinking for the budget minded...might try again...

Pours a slightly hazy light copper color with a decent sized off white head. Aroma is of citrusy, slightly piney hops. Taste is not so up front citrusy, but with a slight bitter citrus finish. Not bad but not great.

Very clear golden, short lasting fluffy white head, clean citrus hoppy aroma. I wanted to disagree with the two previous ratings and not be influenced by them, but I have to agree. Thin and watery. It has the basic character of an IPA but is lacking any real body. Finishes a bit soapy.
