Medium brown appearance with almost no head. Malty and smoky aroma. Nice roasted malt and nutty taste. Smooth mouthfeel. Satisfying if not the most exciting - sort of like South Dakota (hey, at least it’s not Iowa). Jayson2425 (167), Box Elder, South Dakota, USA

Definitely THE best beer at this brewery. This will be the only beer I try if I go in there again. Braudog (3762), Dayton, Ohio, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Sep 5, 2003 Has a dark brown color and a roasted malt/chocolate. Taste is of chocolate malt and finishes with a good crisp bitterness. Overall I am not a big fan of brown ales, but this one was not bad.
