Commercial Description:
Hallertauer hops from the Yakima Valley of Washington State give this English style pale ale its distinctive flavor and hoppiness. A large amount of malted barley is used in the brewing process which gives Chukkar Ale a full, rich body and a relatively high alcohol content.

Draft at brewpub. Copper color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Light sweet citrus aroma. Light to medium body with soft carbonation. Medium balanced flavor with the same balanced finish of moderate duration. Good brew that appears to be a local pick.

Last stop (and final beer) of the return trip during ABA Beer Tour ’07. Sampled on draught at the brewpub restaurant in downtown Rapid City, South Dakota. Pours a clear coppery amber brew with a decent off-white head that slowly dissolves and leave behind a good lacing. Aroma of rich caramel malt, candi sugar, some citrus with some grassy hops. Taste is fruity sweet, heavy alcohol, medium bodied and lightly carbonated. Flavors picked up include caramel malt, light peach and lemon zest. Finish is soft, slightly sweet with a peppery bitter and alcohol burn aftertaste.

Orange with a sticky head and a bit of a soapy aroma. Bit bitter but with an odd tanginess.

RBSG 2007. Another SoDak from Skyview. Growler. Copper color with no head. Slightly hopped aroma. The malt is a nice mix of bitter and sweet: not so balanced it isn’t either, but there are definite sweet hits and bitter hits. Slight caramel finish.

Has a good hoppy flavor. Pours a light copper color and presents a faint citrus aroma. Has a slight white head with a wee bit of lacing. Good trailing bitterness - just the right amount of hops.

Good, light malt flavor and aroma. Orange color. Mild malt flavor and classic English pale ale. Reminded me a little of a marzen.
